Egomind´s Ultimate Playlists

I love making music, talking about music, learning about music and most importantly I love sharing music and most most importantly... I love music

Here you can dig deep into some of Egomind´s favourite genres like heavy metal, reggae, classic rock, underground music, electronic, 80s pop etc. The list is surely to expand and don´t be surprised if I start off more mainstream oriented, the future might be rich with some unknowns but there will be underground playlists as well as a dedicated Icelandic playlist to satisfy the thirst of the sophisticated niche type, I even have a shitty guilty pleasure trance pop radio garbage that we love to hate or just hate fully or actually kind of love purely because of nostalgic factors but I will limit myself to 1995-post. All playlists will have 66 songs per genre so I will have to be picky here with my tastes and preferences. Enjoy and follow.

This is currently in development but rest assured. Coming soon:

Egomind´s Ultimate Heavy Metal

Irrelevent

So heavy metal is a pretty wide and abstract phenomenon nowadays considering all the different variants of the genre. I gravitate putting old school original well established rocker legends that started the movement as well as some new ones that have breathed life into the genre today.

This category will also include some songs from pioneers of thrash metal and power metal but rest assured there will be dedicated playlists specifically catered toward those genres one day.

No need to go all genre police on my ass, I autistically went through extensive training on Wikipedia during my teenage years, give me some fucking credit and some fucking slack you dirty sock and enjoy and follow and let the new folks get into this legendary genre of music!

Egomind´s Ultimate Reggae

There isn´t a genre as unique as reggae. Depite the repetitive rhythmic qualities of reggae these artists always seem to surprise me with their distinguisable originality and character. Put it on and you will get a guaranteed elevation in mood. I guess the cannabis infused artists transfer their relaxing mood through the sonic infrastructure of their soundwaves. Truly magical.

Egomind´s Ultimate Classic Rock

Irrelevent

Well Classic Rock is my personal favourite music genre, it is so rich with most of the all-time greatest artists of our kind. I guess back in the day they couldn´t rely too much on technology and you had to get really lucky to get anything produced and distributed so the music really had to be fucking great. They set up the foundation of what we as consumers and lovers of music value and there is barely any other music genre that gives this vast all encompassing huge emotional spectrum as this genre provides, it is just the best representation of humanity, It brings me to tears, it gives me joy, sadness and I guess reflects the emotions of our mortality. The modern classification of Classic Rock consists of popular rock bands from the mid 60s to the mid 90s so I will follow that rule here Mr. Genre Police.

Egomind´s Ultimate Soundtrack

We all love soundtracks, whether from films, video games or written on dirty parchments centuries ago.

Many are notoriously complex and time consuming for a musical artist to embark on, all the different interplays of instruments, free tempo, the immense wall of sound and the visual compliments the soundtrack needs to  prevail but of course soundtracks can also be simplistic, a lone instrument or a catchy song.

This playlist will be a little bit out of the ordinary, it will include film soundtracks ranging from modern classical material of "John Williams" to 80s pop songs of "Abba", cartoonish video games of "Ratchet and Clank" to fantasy epics of "The Elder Scrolls" and of course our classic symphonic artists of old such as Vivaldi and Bach. The list is vast and fun and all of it will be encapsulated onto this 69 track playlist.
